New Noms For The Collection!
Jul. 16th, 2009 10:29 pmIt’s been a long time since I last updated this. I had a lot of reviews to do, but I’ve decided to narrow it down to just a few new toys (Alt Ravage, Busou Shinki Limited Howling, Busou Shinki Ach, Bionicles Gali and Legends Grindor). If you want a review on any of the other new toys I got and never reviewed let me know.
ROTF Legends Grindor- Straight up repaint of legends Blackout. Any guesses as to why I had to have it? =P I found this little guy hiding in the back. I had no idea he was out yet, but I was looking for Legends The Fallen and Scout Scalpel when I found him. I bought him with a Littlest Pet Tiger after I didn’t find The Fallen or Scalpel. He’s a very cute little thing and goes nicely with Blackout and Desert Blackout. I can’t wait for the voyager version.
Bionicles Gali- I was really excited about her, because she looked super cool in pictures and even on the front of the box. Plus a good friend of mine said she was worth a purchase. But when I finally got her and put her together I wasn’t as pleased as I thought I’d be. =( But it’s no one’s fault but my own, I guess I didn’t look at enough pictures. I do like the little antenna things on her head and also her gun. I don’t know, maybe she’ll be like Vorox and slowly start to grow on me. In the mean time she’s in the closet with the other Bionicles other than Krika.
Alt Ravage- I finally got Alternators Ravage! He’s so CUTE!!! After seeing him at the local comic shop, and not being able to get him, because of the insane price, I decided I would hunt for a cheaper one. I posted a “wanted” thread in my favorite forum and within the same evening I had several people offering me one. I took the cheapest one and sent the money. One week later I was the proud owner of this bad boy. His vehicle mode is beautiful, but since I bought him for the cat mode, he won’t be in his vehicle often. The transformation is sort of complicated, but thanks to the help of a video on YouTube I got it pretty quickly. The cat mode is awesome. My favorite part about him is his face and paws. Awesome toy! If you can find one for a decent price he’d be worth the purchase.
Limited Edition Busou Shinki Dog Type Howling- I thought for sure I’d never get this girl. I haven’t seen one on ebay for a long time, and the last time I did they were going for over $90. I got mine for a great price! Limited Howling doesn’t come with much, but she’s so freaking adorable it doesn’t even matter. =P My favorite thing about her is her tail with the little kitty looking thing hanging off of it. I know she’s a dog, but the little thing looks like a kitty. =P Neat figure! She’ll probably end up being one of my most played with toys.
Busou Shinki Trike Type Ach- I have wanted Ach ever since I got Yda (her sister). Now she’s finally in the collection and I didn’t pay an arm and a leg to get her. Like Limited Howling, I got a great deal on her. Ach comes with some cool stuff. I adore her trike. I had to have her armor in trike mode as soon as she arrived and that’s how it’ll stay. Now to fix Yda’s trike and we’ll be in business. ^^ My favorite thing about Ach, other than the trike, is her boots and alternate breast plate. I love how the boots are almost pointed, but she can still stand in them. Like any of the other Shinkis, she’s super posable and awesome. Definitely worth the money. =D
I think I’ve finally decided what I’m going to do with all the “unwanted” toys in my collection. Also known as the residents of the pink box. I know I made a rule a long time ago not to sell any of the toys I get, but there are just so many new awesome toys coming out and since my job hunting isn’t going well, I’ve got to do something. If I don’t have a job by the end of next month, I’m going to put the majority of the those toys up for sale. =( I may also sell most of my Universe toys for the Henkei versions, as I’m starting to like them better.
Toy purchases will be light the rest of this month and half of next month, because my birthday is next month. =)
