Ianeria

You know that internet order I mentioned in the last entry? Well, part one of that came Friday in the mail. It was an unexpected part, too. I was only going to order Kohiru and Merienda, but they had an Ianeria on Amazon, so I purchased her, as well. I was going to wait and get her with her sister, Eukrante, but the fact they both seem to be getting harder and harder to find, I decided to go ahead and get her with this purchase. Now to track down Eukrante for a decent price. Time for a quick review and a couple of pictures. I’m finally back to a one hundred percent functioning state, so I managed to take a couple of cute pictures of Ian for this short review.

Busou Shinki Mermaid Type Ianeria- I call mine “Ian” for short. My first impression of her was “Holy wow, she has big boobs!” xD I’m sure it’s the same reaction for a lot of people seeing her for the first time. She’s the... *ahem*... largest of the Shinkis in that department. Unless, of course, you switch her breast plates. She does come with an alternate, normal sized breast plate. Personally, I don’t really like the alternate one, so I plan to keep her in the main one with a shirt or sweater covering them up. xD Moving along. Ian has a gorgeous face! But, that’s expected. Her being a mermaid type and all. They’re suppose to have gorgeous faces, right? =P She comes with a second face that makes her look like she’s blushing. Her armor is lots of fun. There are a ton of different ways to assemble it. I’ve only tried out the extremely long tail piece on her, and the armored bangs piece. If it’s not too rainy tomorrow, I’m going to put all of her gear on her for the toy photo shoot I have planned. I’ll just put it this way, judging from the pictures on her box, I wouldn’t want to get in a fight with her. She make look sweet, but with that armor on I imagine she has no trouble defending herself. In conclusion, Ianeria is a fantastic addition to any Shinki collection. I recommend her to anyone who has the money, or in the younger Shinki fans case, permission. Like Graffias, her big boobs might put some parents off.

Not related to the review, Ianeria was another toy that I instantly saw a personality in. I took her out of her box, and thought up this little story in my head. She, and all of the other Ianerias were in this warehouse waiting to be sold. One by one, all the other Ians got sold off, until she was the only one left. She was forgotten about by the people trying to sell her, as new Shinkis came in. Then, one day someone found her, and re-listed her back on Amazon.com. That’s where I came in and rescued her. xD Upon pulling her out of the box, I find she’s very lovable, but rather clingy due to being left alone for so long. Please, keep in mind that this is probably not what really happened, as I have no idea how these sellers on Amazon and Ebay work, but that’s what I saw in Ian.

Kohiru and Merienda should be here tomorrow, and I’ll have little reviews of them, too. ^.^ Oh, and I’m a really excited kitty bot!! xD You will find out the reason behind the excitement in a couple of weeks.

Comic making block sucks. Well, creative block in general sucks. I have one currently. I know what I want to do with Comic Fluff’s story. The problem is getting it out in dialouge and pictures. I’ve been having this never ending battle with myself about this comic that is such a huge part of my life. I find myself asking the same question “should I finish the story how it is, or restart and make it better”? I’ve come so far, yet I’ve made so many mistakes along the way. Mistakes that I shouldn’t have made. I know the saying “you’re your own worst critic” applies here, but I can’t help it. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to my creative works. If I did restart it, I’d go backwards. Finish what I’m doing right now, and then re-tell all the lair story in the correct fashion. Better character development. Better effects, better story, etc. But, I’m not sure I’ll ever go that route. Like I said, I’ve come so far already.

The Animated Arcee blues have seeped in, causing me to not be excited about the “thrill of the hunt” game. I went out searching for Strike Mission Sideswipe today with no luck. I did, however, go ahead and buy Armorhide for the remaining N.E.S.T. sticker for Recon Ravage. I really did want Armorhide, but I was planning on getting him later on after all the retail priorties were bought. Armorhide’s a nice little guy, but I know I could live without him when it comes down to it. But, he will be loved in my collection anyway. ^_^

Time for the Drossel review I promised. Pink really isn’t her thing, but that was already set up from a smaller shoot from yesterday, so I went ahead and used it. I’ll just leave it behind the cut.

Drossel Review )

Last thing before I end this entry. I took an hour Thursday to work on this picture in photoshop. I think it turned out pretty good for my first attempt at background replacement. I found the background on google, so I’m not taking any credit for that. Just the photo of the toys, and the edit itself.

Finally got my total fix! Or at least until a week or two from now when someone else will be begging me with sad eyes to buy them. *insert nervous laughter here* My three girls showed up these last couple of days and then today in Target I found a firey little Bionicle on sale that I had to buy. Impulse purchase sort of, but not a regret. =) Thanks to Sage, I did want him, but I didn’t think I’d pick up this soon. Oh well! He’s cute! So on to the reviews and then a rant later on, because it’s a toy related rant that I have to get out of my system.

Busou Shinki Angel Type, Arnval- I’ve been putting off buying her for quite some time, as there were other girls I wanted before her, but when a certain role in the new comic popped into my head I knew she was the only girl who could play it, so I had to buy her. I really like her now that I have her and have had the chance to pose and photograph her. She’s cute! I admit the blank stare on her face is a little difficult to work with. Most of the girls have a little bit of personality in their faces, but not Arnval. Or at least not this version of her. I didn’t get Tranche 2, because it was a little too expensive, but I plan on getting Tranche 2 in the near future. So yeah, this is the first edition Arnval. She has a few flaws. Her main breast plate falls off so easily, and her legs are a little loose, but other than that she’s like any of the other Shinkis. I haven’t had the time to take out her armor and put it on her, so I can’t comment on the armor yet. If you are considering getting her, I’d personally recommend getting Tranche 2 instead of the first edition. I’m sure it’s better quality, plus it comes with more accessories.

Photobucket

Busou Shinki Bat Type, Vespelio- I was sort of back and forth with her. One day I said I wanted her, the next day I was unsure. Then a couple of weeks ago I exploded into Vespelio obsession. I looked at the Fanmode reviews every single day and even started planning a role for her in the new comic (Still have no idea what her role will be yet). It seemed like everywhere I went there Vespelio was. =P Originally the order was only suppose to be Arnval and Graffias. XD When she arrived I was all sorts of happy. She was my favorite of this order and was naturally the last one to show up. But she’s here now, and that’s all that matters. Vespy on her own is adorable. She has two extra breast plates, sad/embarassed alternate face, little shoes, and hair pieces that replace her pony tails. Her armor can be made into several different things and probably even more things with a little bit of imagination and some other Shinki parts. Her armor can also combine with Graffias’ to make a dragon. That’s what mode I currently have their armor in, but I didn’t get any good pictures yet. =( I definitely recommend this Shinki if you have the cash. ^_^

Photobucket

Busou Shinki Scorpion Type, Graffias- Ninety percent nude girl oh my! Graffias sure isn’t wearing much, but stuff like that has never bothered me. XD Quite frankly I find her attractive. If it was a real girl and about five or six feet taller, I’d ask her to dinner. Okay I’m straying off of the actual review topic. Like Vespelio her armor can make quite a few different things. Personally I like the scorpion mode most. If I decide to take the dragon apart I’ll make the scorpion. Aside from the armor she comes with two alternate breasts plates, a grr smiley face, and high heeled boots. I usually keep her in the boots, because it makes her pretty tall. She’s taller than all the girls with them on. Her hair is pretty cool, but because of the way it is, it’s very difficult to turn her head to the side. Other than those minor flaws she’s amazing! I recommend her if money and parents permit. Her nudity might put some off.

Photobucket

Bionicles Glatorian Legends Ackar- I thought for sure Gelu would be the only one I bought of the Glatorian Legends, but Sage changed my mind with this guy’s presence in his latest comic update. He’s pretty farging awesome! Flame sword for the win! Easy to put together. I put him together rather quickly when I got home. Gelu helped. =D I like the fire/ice theme I have now. Could make for an interesting rivalry. All in all, I’m quite pleased with my purchase! My Ackar sends thanks to you, Sage! If you happen to read this. =P

Sadly I have no pictures of him yet, as I’ve only had him for a couple of hours. =) He’s scheduled for a photo shoot tomorrow. However, I do have more pictures of the girls. =)

Yes, he came!! I got so fed up with looking for him in the store, so I got to order him online. I can’t believe he got here so fast! We ordered him yesterday and chose two day shipping. =P I love you Amazon.com! Now to wait for the three girls to get here. =)

ROTF Voyager Long Haul: He’s amazing! If anyone would have asked me about him six weeks ago, I would have said I didn’t want him, because I didn’t know how amazing he was then. It’s a good thing a lot of people made love to him with their cameras to show his awesomeness or I never would have been sold. I haven’t transformed him yet so I can’t really tell you about the transformation or the vehicle mode. From what I’ve seen in pictures he looks great in either mode. The robot mode is nice! Posability is pretty good, I thought he was going to be limited on poses until I modify him, but he’s great right out of the package. He’s definitely my favorite of the Constructicons and I recommend him to everyone! Great figure, worth the money and the wait!

Words can describe the want for this toy.
Photobucket

I may be able to get her with her wave mate Graffias, but that won’t be decided until tomorrow evening. I’m paying my dad back for her if he lets me. If I order these girls from a certain place I may get another Waffebunny set or the Tsugura set for free. I’m not sure if that deal is still going on though. Anyway so the rest of my haul came in the mail last Saturday. The other two additions to the family were Revoltech Megatron and Revoltech Griffon. I loves them!

Revoltech Megatron: My second Revoltech Transformer. At first, I didn’t know about him. I thought he looked alright, but I didn’t plan on adding him to the collection until way later. However, I started seeing many pictures of him while I was looking up different Revoltech figures and was all of a sudden head over heels in love with him. =P So I bought him some money I got for my birthday. Plus he’s going to be a villain in my new comic. Hehe. Anyway Megatron is a little on the short side being a Revoltech. He, of course, doesn’t transform. His details are amazing though! I plan on picking up the reprolabels Revoltech upgrades for the extra show accuracy. He comes with a couple of different hands and not much else. I don’t even think he came with a display stand, but he doesn’t need it because he stands on his own quite well. I definitely recommend picking this guy up along with Revoltech Screamer. He’s not that expensive if you know where to look. =D

Photobucket

Revoltech Griffon with Aqua Unit: I was looking at different Revoltechs with my best friend, Alex and she pointed this guy out to me. I didn’t go look at him right away like I should have, but when I finally did I was like “MUST HAVE THAT GUY NOW!” I started looking at tons of different pictures of him and was sold instantly. I checked Amazon for a price and was amazed to find one for $6.99. Then I found out they had two versions of him. One with the aqua unit and one with wings. Naturally I liked and wanted the one with the wings more, but he was a little more than $6.99, and if I wanted Megs I couldn’t get that version just yet. But I plan on getting it soon. Anyway Griffon comes with a couple interchangable hands, a gun, stand and the aqua unit. He’s a neat little figure. Very shiny! Very posable! Cute as hell! At least to me. Poor thing is so scared of me. Haha! He got stuck with a fan girl. The picture below demonstrates his feelings. =P I recommend this guy!

Now for a bit of a rant, because toys are serious business. Haha. Last week sometime I had Voyager Long Haul in my hands. At the time, I was so unsure of him. I was worried I’d buy him and wouldn’t like him the end. So I put him back. I have all three of the other Constructicons and like them, but I was still unsure. Well I saw more pictures of Long Haul including a kick ass custom and was like “Why the hell didn’t I get him?” So, I went back to purchase him, and to my despair he was gone. Usually if I leave a figure behind it’ll still be there two days later, but that wasn’t the case with him. Now I’m kicking myself, because I want him so badly at the moment. I’ve been searching all over the place for him. =( Also Legends Fallen. I don’t even know how long I’ve been searching for that little guy. Every where I go they seem to have every Legend in the world, except him. And I’m not going to pay $15 to buy him offline when I can get him for $6 at the store. I know I should probably be more patient, but when you’re a plastic crack addict it’s hard. =P Gots to get that fix at least once every two weeks. Anyways so all I have left to on my ROTF wish list is:

Legends The Fallen
Voyager Long Haul
Leader Optimus Prime
Human Alliance Sideswipe
Deluxe Jolt
Human Alliance Barricade (When he comes out)
Leader Screamer (When he comes out)

And a few other odds and ends. But those are the main ones that I’m still waiting to acquire. I’m waiting for leader Optimus to come down in price a little before I buy him. Did I ever mention I was finally sold on him?

I had a great birthday this year, and not only because of the presents. But I am here to talk about new additions in this journal and I did get some on my birthday. ^.^ Here’s a picture of my haul.

Photobucket

And on to the reviews.

Revoltech Fraulein Pocco- First off, let me get the bad out of the way. As much as I love the look of this figure, I hate the fact she is so flimsy. I’m already going to have to break out glue on a brand new toy. That’s very disappointing because she was a gift. Her arm “broke” off at the elbow and another small piece snapped off accidentally while trying to play with her. Revoltechs are nice because usually you can just snap the pieces back on, but the Fraulein line is a quality nightmare I’ve heard. It sucks, because I really want to be able to play with her and not just look at her. Enough rambling and on to the good. The details on her are outstanding! She looks so life like. She comes with extra hands and a lovely sword, but not much else. Aside from the fear of breaking her, she is pretty posable. I would say I recommend her, but I’d be lying. If you can stand the quality issues and have the skills to repair her then I’d say go for it. If not pass on her.

Bionicle Mcdonalds Happy Meal Krika- I wanted this toy, because I heart Krika so much! What’s cuter than a little version of Krika? My only complaint with this little guy is the fact his can’t look up, but what can you expect from a Happy Meal toy? I also wish his gun was detachable. He’s actually pretty awesome despite what he is. An excellent addition to the collection, if I do say so myself. And one of the biggest surprises this birthday.

ROTF Deluxe Stalker Scorponok- I have and love the original deluxe Scorponok, so when I saw this guy I had to have him. He’s a straight up repaint of the original so if you have the original you know what to expect. I love his color scheme! I just love this mold a lot, it being one of the first molds I ever got.

ROTF Deluxe Arcee- I only wanted her for her bike mode and it doesn’t disappoint. I wish the colors were more screen accurate, but that’s not a big deal. The side car is a nice little touch. It can fit Littlest Pet Shop kitties in it so that’s a bonus for me. I’d recommend her if you’re into motorcycles.

ROTF Human Alliance Bumblebee- This present was one of those I picked out myself, and the day I did I thought it was a huge mistake. I kept asking my dad if we could take it back, but he wouldn’t let me. I’ve heard nothing but good things about this toy, but I’m not a huge fan of Bumblebee and almost couldn’t justify spending $30 on a Bumblebee. I haven’t really played with him much, but the short time I did I liked him alright. Enough for him to stay in the collection. I wish he had two hands instead of a gun arm. I may may repaint it him or sell him if I end up thinking he needs to be in the pink box.

surprise ever seen in my life and I’m just as happy as can be that he’s in my collection. The other three in the set are Ironhide (vehicle mode), Megatron (tank mode), and Optimus (Power up version). I ended up giving the Optimus to Alex and I may put the Ironhide in the pink box. I like the Megatron, but not as much as Fallen! Every time I pick the little guy up I laugh. For the Fallen alone, I recommend this set.

ROTF Ice Cream Truck Twins- As some of you might know, I dislike the twins strongly. Well I happen to adore this ice cream truck and I don’t care if it is the twins I had to have it. My only complaint is his hood won’t stay shut for some reason. I don’t know if mine is broken or I’m just not doing something right. I hope reprolabels comes out with an upgrade thingy so I can make the truck screen accurate. I may have to put “Autobot suck my popsicle” instead of what it says in the movie though. =P

HTS Exclusive Underwater Art Pony- It’s been a long time since I’ve added a new Little Pony to the collection and this was just the one I wanted next! She was quite a nice surprise from Alex. The pony is so me in every way. Horses have always been in my top five favorite animals, I’m a water child at heart and right now I’m in love with the color blue. Pony + Water + Blue = One happy kitten! She looks great next to my other ponies and looks great in the collection! A must have for My Little Pony collectors.

Bionicle v9 Thornatus- The second Bionicle vehicle set in my collection. Just one more vehicle set to go and I’ll be finished with Bionicles until they release something else that catches my interest. This set is neat and HUGE! It was pretty hard to put together and it took a whole afternoon to finish. I don’t know what the driver’s name is, but I’m not to fond of him anyway. See a trend here with me? I love Bionicle vehicle sets, but usually dislike the dudes they come with. He will make an excellent villain for my comic though. Once I’m finished using this thing in my comic I plan on repaint it and modding it slightly so I can give it to Gelu or Gresh. Anyways, like I said, the thing is pretty big. The coolest thing about it? Krika parts! I think that’s one of the main reasons I fell in love with this set. It gave me a great idea for my comic. I recommend picking up this set if you can. It’s pretty expensive, but in the end worth it’s $70 price point.

ROTF Voyager Grindor- The main event of my birthday! =P Alright, it should be obvious why this is one of my favorite ROTF toys, despite he is a straight up repaint of TFTM Blackout. The colors work well on him. I hearts the mini stalker Scorponok! If you already have Blackout, then you know what to expect. I HEART GRINDOR!!! If only you knew how I always say his name. =P

Alright that’s all from my birthday haul. Next is my post birthday haul. =P I’m about to make a pretty big purchase with some money I received and earned in the past week. Three Shinkis, Two Revoltechs, an Alternator and a childhood memory are coming soon. I’m also looking around for more Krikas. I want to buy three more Krikas for a future project. I should have bought the two that were shelf warming at my local Target for the longest time. Now they’re gone. =(

The entry title is a very bad joke between Lix and I. Only she will understand. Haha! Lots of reviews to do. Not many pictures to accompany, but I’ll get around to posting some awesome pictures soon. So here it goes. Here are a few long overdue reviews of the first ROTF haul.

Legends Starscream- Cute little figure. He’s a straight up repaint of the first legends Screamer with some added tattoos or war paint. What ever you want to call them. Not really much else to say about him. He’s a legend. If you’re a Screamer fan and liked the first release pick him up.

Robot Replicas Starscream- I heart robot replicas! Plain and simple. I’m going to fix mine up with a new paint job when I get better at customs. I love this guy. A great little figure. I dislike the fact he doesn’t have interchangeable hands. I can’t change the gun to a regular hand unless I buy another. If you’re a fan of non-transforming Transformers or Screamer than get him. He’s pretty damn cool. =D

Legends Jetfire- This guy cracks me up. Little landing gear cane that he can smack people with. I love it! I can’t wait for the leader version. For a legend he is pretty awesome. Alex opened hers the day we got them and I couldn’t stop fiddling with him. He’s so adorable!

Deluxe Rampage- This was one of my most anticipated deluxes and surprisingly I’m not as impressed with him as I thought I’d be. Of course I’ve been super busy and haven’t had the time to really mess around with him. I don’t think I have him transformed right either so when I get a minute I’ll have to watch a video and do it correctly. Maybe that’ll change my mind.

Deluxe Sideswipe- I haven’t really done anything with him yet. He’s still in vehicle mode while most everyone else is in robot mode. He was the last one I opened of the haul. I may get around to transforming him one day so I can see how I like his robot mode. His vehicle mode is a very sleek corvette. Very nice!

Deluxe Preview Bumblebee- Unless the Human Alliance Bumblebee wins me over, this is the only Bumblebee I’ll be getting from the ROTF line. I’m not much of a Bumblebee fan and I really don’t like the deluxe mold, but I liked this Bumblebee’s face so I got him. I didn’t like the cannon arm so I switched the arm with Premium Bee’s and put the Premium version away. I just need to paint it so it matches. I wouldn’t recommend this figure unless you adore the movie Bumblebee mold.

Deluxe Sideways- The only regret of this purchase. I really don’t like this guy at all or maybe it’s just his legs. I don’t know. Mine was super loose and just ugh, but that’s fixable with a little glue or nail polish. I really don’t like the feet on his guy. In the future when I get really awesome at customs I may give him someone else’s feet and a new paint job so maybe I’ll like him more. Fix the flaws! =P

Deluxe Chromia- I bought this for her motorcycle mode only. I wanted a motorcycle for my Shinkis and she looks so awesome in that mode so I got her. She will probably never be in robot mode because I’m not much on that mode.

Deluxe Preview Soundwave- A little on the short side, but all in all awesome. I like the way he looks so he deserves a nice spot on my shelves. Plus Lord Megatron demanded I get him. Great little figure I think.

I thought I’d be able to make it through reviewing all of them, but I’m getting tired so I’ll review the rest tomorrow some time. Here’s a picture of my last haul before I go. I HEART THIS HAUL!!!!!
