TFCon Chicago!
Jul. 19th, 2014 12:55 amIt's a go! Hotel booked, train tickets bought, and I plan on buying weekend passes here in the next couple of weeks. All the awesomeness of TFCon Toronto and me watching ‘Heroes of Cosplay’ episodes had me going crazy to go to a con again, so I had to figure my finances/cost of the trip. That’s when I discovered that I have the means to do it, if I could find someone to go with me. And I did. My good friend is coming along with me for his first con. :3

This also has me antsy over cosplaying. It’s a huge interest of mine that I have not had the privilege of trying yet. Trouble is, of course, deciding who to cosplay and all the fun stuff that goes into it (time, money, materials, etc). I have some ideas that I may be sharing in this journal soon. Although, I may keep things quiet until con time. x3
I have hit a creative block again, unfortunately. I’m doodling with pieces of fics, but nothing is flowing. My ideas for short fics aren’t going anywhere. I even shot pics for a new plushie comic, but can't seem to find the motivation to put that together. I have been out of sorts lately, though. Could be the reason behind the sudden blockage. I can’t even keep a journal entry straight. >.<

Give me a character, pairing, or situation prompt, and I will write a drabble or short fic based off of it!
I prefer writing for characters in Prime or Bayverse. However, I might be swayed into Animated, WFC, or G1, if the right pairing/situation came along.
I warn you in advance, though. My writing muse comes and goes. Right now it’s fairly strong. And, I feel confident that I could get some drabbles/short stories out.
I’ll take multiple prompts from each person, so long as it doesn't exceed five. ^_^

Got to give this one to these three: Blackout, Shockwave, and Barricade. Not only because I love these characters so much, but I just feel that there is so much they could do with them. I hope the three of them show up in Prime on down the line somewhere, because that would make me love Prime THAT much more than I already do.

Okay, this answer is so obvious if you have been hanging around me for the past couple of weeks (ALEX!). Dark of the Moon Que/Wheeljack. I call him Que more than Wheeljack, but whatever. Seriously, though. When I first saw that picture with his head on the stick on set of DOTM, I thought I’d hate him for sure. He looked sooooo ugly to me. Way too human and just... bleck. Well, that changed pretty quickly after several viewings of DOTM. I don’t really know why, either. He’s just one of those mechs, I guess. I’ve developed this big soft spot for him and just melt into squee when he comes on the screen. And, when he dies, I cry. I AM NOT SUPPOSE TO CRY OVER AUTOBOTS!! WHAT THE HELL?! xD

I’ve been working on fic. *gasp* No “Survivalism”, but I’m just not sure if I’ll ever get back to that fic or not, at this time. I’ve almost completely lost my muse for it, and don’t even remember where I was heading with it. >.< So, I’ve turned my attention to my smaller fic projects. I should have at least two posted later today or tomorrow. One is complete and the other I’m trying to work on (This brain-splitting headache isn’t really doing much for that, though. =/). Then, I’ve got more to work on and complete. HOPING FOR A MAJOR FIC OVERLOAD TO HAPPEN!!!
Off to check out what I’ve missed.

While I’d rather not ever have a maid/butler at all, I decided to choose Arcee for this one. Why? Because, she’s hot, that’s why. =P I’d probably be like one of those pervy dudes. Accidentally drop something and hope that she comes over to pick it up. Hehehehehe. xD Okay, get your head out of the gutter, Kitten.... No, wait. I need it in the gutter to write my robot porn. >:D

Guess what? GUESS WHAT?! I finally got a more suitable name for my story that was originally titled “Half Breed”. The new title of the story is “Survivalism”. Simple, but effective. It fits a hell of a lot better than “Half Breed” does, me thinks. I’m working away on Chapter Five. It’s a bit longer than previous chapters. I may have it finished today and posted tonight, but I’m shooting for a Thursday goal just to be on the safe side.
Before we leave the subject of writing, I must mention that I have a new plot kitten roaming around. One that must be written as soon as “Survivalism” reaches it’s end. I know my Blackout origin and another was in line next, but this one will only be a couple chapters long and I should get through it fairly quickly. It’s a silly crack story featuring the lead singer of Linkin Park, Chester Bennington and everyone’s favorite Bayverse scorpion bot. I won’t say anymore, except that it will be very amusing to write, yes. >:D
I meant to have a comic update done by last Friday, but that failed, so this Friday is the new goal. I’m shooting all the pictures for the update tomorrow, then I’ll go from there.
Edit: Forget to mention I had a very odd short TF3 dream last night. Now, before I talk about it, I want to say that I've been avoiding ALL information about TF3, because I don't want to be a crazed "MUST SEE IT NOW/CAN'T WAIT ANYMORE" lunatic by January, and be in agony until July. Plus, I am tired of being spoiled. I want surprises, for once. I want to walk in to the theater without knowing anything outside what the preview showed me.And, the fact that Shockwave is in the movie. Hell, I may not even watch the preview, unless it's unavoidable. (EXAMPLE: Gone to see another movie and TF3 preview is shown in front of THAT movie.) The point of saying all that before talking about said dream is, TF3 is the last thing I should be thinking about. Must be in my subconscious or something. xD Anyways. The dream. The only thing I can really remember about it is Starscream. He sounded very, VERY different. Not like he did in the second movie at all. *sad* He was saying "It's time to even the odds." After saying that, this little spike flipped out on his chest plate. Then, I heard Megatron say "Take care of them, Starscream," to which Starscream replied "With pleasure, my master." I got an extreme close up of his smirky face and then I woke up. =( When I woke up I just kept thinking how clever it was for him to retrofit his chest plate with a spike as extra protection to his spark. =/

So, I took some pictures of Tommy last night. Didn’t turn out so great. =/ I’m about to take him, Terradive, and two Shinkis out for some outdoor photography fun to make up for last night’s fail. Hopefully, I’ll get some good ones and be able to make that awesome post about Tommy and Terry.
I REALLY need to finish up the editing on this Comic Fluff update. I’ve got about half of the update completed, with another part needing editing, and the final part needing to be shot and edited. I can’t wait to finish this update! I is excited! ^o^

I have written a tiny portion of Chapter Four of "Half Breed". I'll try to finish that up and post it tomorrow sometime. I'm going to be working heavily on this story and trying to finish it up in the next couple of weeks. Once I get this one done, I may start my Blackout Origin Fiction. >:D Oh, and some random short stories should be produced throughout the course of the next three weeks. Have I mentioned how cute my Locky is?! Well, duh. =P He's hanging out here on the desk (as he usually is) with Straxus and the usual desk crew (Payload, Demolishor, and Bionicle Spikit). The point is he isadorable bad ass and I need to make another cute little comic featuring him. <3<3<3 Oh, and he will have a good role in whatever comic story I do after Comic Fluff.

What Am I Getting Myself Into?
Sep. 15th, 2010 10:53 pmWas searching through my stories yesterday, and I found several more like "Half Breed". They have potential if I would just give them a little of my attention. I will defeat this inability to finish my creative works, starting with various short stories and "Half Breed". I haven't messed with Chapter Two of "Half Breed", just yet. I'm kind of scared to, because the first draft of chapter two is such a horrendous mess. I think I'll end up trashing, and just starting fresh, but I'm going to study it some more. In addition to "Half Breed", I'm also working on a short fan fiction for trans_crazy. That one should be completed and posted by the end of the week. <---- We can only hope.
I worked on the Comic Fluff update for a little while today (FINALLY!). I got some Scourgey goodness shot and edited. I changed my original idea for this update, so it may be done a little faster, if I would just work on it, and stop fragging around. Bleh. I'm debating whether or not I should do this fight scene outside or inside. I guess it'll depend on the temperature/weather when I finally get to a point where I can shoot that part of the update. I've already shot this fight scene twice, and both times failed miserably. Primus, this update should have been done like a million years ago. xD I will rejoice when it is done!
Yesterday I went hunting for some new toys. I went to three different places, and not one of them had anything I was looking for. I was bummed. =( Yes, I was just talking about how I missed The Thrill of the Hunt, but now I'm starting to think I put a curse on myself. xD I did get to see MP Grimmy in person, and I really like/want him. I couldn't afford him yesterday, but I'll get him on down the line, even if he's one I've got to purchase online.

I was bummed. =( Yes, I was just talking about how I missed The Thrill of the Hunt, but now I'm starting to think I put a curse on myself. xD I did get to see MP Grimmy in person, and I really like/want him. I couldn't afford him yesterday, but I'll get him on down the line, even if he's one I've got to purchase online.

Seventy degree weather? Hell yes, I’m taking advantage of that! I stepped outside this morning to feed my outdoor kitties, and I noticed how cool it was. After feeding the cats, I ran back inside to grab my camera and some toys. I’m a little out of practice, yes, but I’m sure I can get back into the swing of outstanding outdoor photography again, should this nice weather stick around. Fall weather can’t come any faster!! >.<

Turning, now, to writing news. You remember that plot kitten I mentioned in the last entry? Well, I defeated it, by turning myself off the “totally not like me” idea. Truth is, I wrote the first chapter to this story. I worked on it none stop for hours. I beat myself up over that damn thing. Trying to make it perfect, but it just wasn’t flowing like anything else I had written before. I finally found my way to the end of the first chapter of the planned three chapter story. Then, I read it to my friend, Alex, and asked for her honest opinion on the start of the story. I wanted to know if it was worth continuing. She told me it was one of the worst story I had written to date, which I completely agree with. It lacked a hook to make the potential readers want to know what was going to happen next. It lacked a lot more than that, actually. Feeling like a failure, I went back and read some old unfinished story of mine. I guess, I was trying to find something that was worse than the story I was writing. xD I came across a story with the working title “Half Breed”. As I was reading the five written chapters of the unfinished story, I realized that the thing had some real potential, if I just redid it and finished it. I’ve mentioned in the past I’m horrible at finishing stories, but I’m slowly working on this flaw. My new goal is one of these two things. If I have lots of free time in the next four weeks, I hope to finish it in four weeks time. If real life priorities pick back up again, the goal is to finish it by the year’s end. I really hope I can finish it within the four weeks, because the ideas are fresh in my mind. The goals aren’t set in stone, though, as I don’t want to rush through the story. Anyway, I’m going to post the prologue of the story today to give anyone who wants to read it a little taste of what you might expect from the story. ^.^ Find it behind the cut below.

Constructive criticism and critique welcome and strongly encouraged. ^_^ This is not a straight up shattered glass universe. Alternate Universe fits most, me thinks. Later chapters will show exactly why. Chapter One to be posted when it’s completed. =D
Shinki news! Fort Bragg arrived the other day. I had a major sad when I realized I couldn’t open and play with her, because the body situation. =( I really need to work on getting that second Strarf bis, or some cheap Shinki that I already have to paint into Bragg’s body. In other Shinki news, big Partio shipped. She needs a name. I’m not going to call them Big Partio, Little Partio. xD Sharatang and Baby Razz come out at the end of the month! *squees* I hope to get both right away, but if push comes to shove, I’ll snag Shara and wait for Razz. So many awesome Shinkis coming out, and I still don’t have the MK2s and Night ops Asuka. *sniff* If I can ever get some form of income! >.< *shakes fist*
I’m covered as far as retail stuff goes, for a while. My gift card will get me the important Transformers when they come out/when they get to a local Walmart. My current retail wish list:
